New Microsoft Dynamics NAV Knowledge Workshops Announced

We’re having a break this month from our free NAV Knowledge Workshops, but everything starts again in June with a Back to Basics Workshop, as requested by Janet Bishop.

The Workshops run the third Thursday of every month and are free for Microsoft Dynamics NAV customers to attend at Technology Management’s training suite in Wolverhampton. Scheduled Workshops for the next few months are:

June: Back to Basics

For those new to NAV, an overview of the basics of navigating your way around NAV, finding, filtering, and running reports. The Workshop will use NAV 2009 and the Role Tailored Client.

July: NAV 2009 – Role Customisation

How to customise the layout of NAV 2009 RTC, including creating a company default layout, customisations for individuals, linking users to roles, adding new reports to roles.

August: Inventory Costing for Manufacturers

In depth review of how costing works within the manufacturing system of NAV, focusing on standard costing, cost roll ups and variances.

September: Use Excel Pivot Tables to Help Analyse Data

October: Jet Reports 2009

An introduction to creating simple reports using the Excel add-in, Jet Reports.

November: Sales Analysis Reports

How to create detailed, flexible inventory-based reporting (including sales values, cost of sales, quantities, purchase values & quantities, production analysis).

December: Inventory Costing for Distributors

An in-depth review of how costing works in NAV from purchase to sale.

January: Stocktaking options in NAV

A look at physical inventory counting and cycle counting.

February: Approvals

How you set up NAV to request sales and purchase documents to be approved, with multiple approvals levels, email alerts and delegations.
