This signals an important shift in the market as businesses are looking transform and put customer engagement strategies at the centre of everything they do.

This year’s Market Leader research shows that organisations want CRM technology that provides easy access to essential data (through the cloud, mobile devices, and a unified user interface); the ability to personalise customer experiences; and predictive and prescriptive analytics that can scour oceans of data. The CRM Magazine Leader awards are based on revenue, analyst ratings for customer satisfaction, depth of functionality, company direction and five-year cost for software/maintenance. Microsoft received call outs for company direction, integration with Office 365 and PowerBI, and the ability to enhance customer engagement via multiple touch points, knowledge management capabilities, the strength of partners, depth of functionality, customer satisfaction and cost. CEO, Satya Nadella, was also recognised as one of 2015’s CRM Market Influential Leaders.
