If you’re like some of the small businesses I know, you’re sick and tired of pouring money into managing the server that runs your business software. You may have heard that hosting your software ‘in the cloud’ could be easier and more affordable, but you want to cut through the technical waffle to understand if it’s right for you.
Well in response to this sentiment Technology Management has announced a short morning event to brief small businesses on the advantages of switching over the job of your server to a third party hosting company.
When Liam was showing me the other day what is now possible, I was astounded. Businesses can now host their email, network drives….all of the applications running on your desktop, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. And I haven’t even touched on your accounts software or sales databases.
A big advantage to small businesses is the manageable per-user, per-month fees that can flex as users of your system come and go. Our smart graduate, Adam, described it as Pay as You Grow – but between you and me I’ll take the credit for that phrase.
You might know that Technology Management continues to support on-site servers, but may not realise that we offer hosted services too. We can see advantages in both options, so we’ve no axe to grind either way in the advice we offer. However, all of us at Technology Management are convinced that there are significant advantages in hosted servers for smaller businesses.
If you’d like to turn your back on backing up your server the you might like to know that this event runs on Thursday 29 April at our offices in Wolverhampton. It starts at 9.30am and will be finished by 11.30am.
To learn a little more about what we’ll be discussing and to reserve your free seat visit the Scrap Your Server event page.
I hope to see you there.
